MODULAR COMPOSITION
Inspired by Ken Isaac's compact living structures, I attempted to create my own for living, working, sleeping, and relaxing. My structure is designed for temporary set-up in an indoor environment, and is comprised entirely of a base plate, four wall slabs, twenty vertical shafts, and forty modular boxed units, capable of both detaching from, and pinning vertically to the poles. The arrangement of the boxed units dictates the functionality of the space, and comes in either single or double length .
FUNCTIONALITY
The space is designed in such a way that an occupant could engage in their daily activities with comfortable ease. The particular arrangement displayed simultaneously allows for ample storage, lower level seating and desk spaces, and the utilization of the modular units to create stairs to a more private upper level bedroom, shielded visually by the wall slabs.
