LA Photo Patterns
For this project, I took photos arounds the Los Angeles area of various patterns I observed in industrial structures, such as sewer gratings and rafters. I digitally altered the photos, making them monochrome in order to increase the clarity of these patterns. I then collaged the photos together, paying careful attention to how they interacted with one another. Moving horizontally from one photo to the other, I created a path that connected the different patterns together, uniting them under a common guiding line. This line was highlighted by cutting and folding the collaged photos.
LA Photo Model
This project is a continuation of the LA Photo Patterns project above. I furthered my investigation of the guiding line that connected the paths on one of my collaged photo strips. The line is additionally exaggerated by having tabs recess slightly, thus adding a third dimension, and increasing the line's legibility.
